HOTOUR Team
The HOTOUR team currently consists of six permanent employees. Furthermore, HOTOUR is working with a solid and long-time pool of hotel-experienced freelance consultants. Depending on the project, the team can be completed with various experts from different areas such as architecture, interior design, marketing or electronic distribution systems.

Martina Fidlschuster
Managing Partner
Surveys, management consulting, project development and rating
Martina Fidlschuster, Managing Director and Owner of the HOTOUR GmbH, manages since 2001 the division “Management consulting, surveys- and project development”. She is an official expert on the hotel trade for the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Furthermore, she initiated the project partnership “Hotel Industry Rating with the Hotel Association Germany and works as an industry specialist for a rating agency.
She took a degree in Tourism at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration before attending the Institute of Interpreting at Vienna University and Cornell University in New York. She has more than 25 years of experience in the hotel industry and worked for Hilton, top Swiss Hotels and in several leadership positions for the Steigenberger Hotels AG. Since many years she has supported investors, finance institutes, project developers and hotel operators concerning real estate issues with a focus on hotel market analysis, transactions, financing and asset management.
Christine Mayer
Senior Consultant
Appraisals, analyses of market and location, due diligence reports
Since 2003, Christine Mayer has been working as a consultant at the HOTOUR GmbH and is responsible for appraisals, surveys of the market and location as well as due diligence reports in German and English. As a real estate expert (ebs/BIIS) she has also specialised in the valuation of hotels.
Besides an apprenticeship in the hotel industry and several internships in different touristic divisions in Germany and abroad, she studied Tourism Economics at the University of Applied Sciences in Wilhelmshaven. By completing an “International Real Estate Valuation” programme at the Real Estate Management Institute of the European Business School Oestrich-Winkel and attending Cornell University, she complemented her educational background.
Philipp Linder
Consultant
As of February 2008, Philipp Linder has joined HOTOUR and is supporting the team in surveys and analyses of market and location. Additionally, he gained in depth knowledge about the composition of Lease- and Management contracts by writing his diploma thesis.
Philipp Linder completed a vocational training for hotel management at the Maritim Hotel in Stuttgart and afterwards majored in Hotel Business, Finance Management and Controlling at the University of Applied Science in Wilhelmshaven. Thus, Mr Linder has gained a broad theoretical insight of the financial side of the hotel trade and by concluding an internship in Los Angeles, he achieved a more international understanding of Financing and Controlling. He gained additional knowledge about the hospitality industry throughout the programme “Hospitality Real Estate” at the International University of Applied Science in Bad Honnef.
Sabrina Greif
Assistant
Coordination of appointments, organisation and research
Since 2006, Ms. Greif has been contributing her organisational skills to HOTOUR GmbH. In addition to her responsibility for the office and invoicing, she also supports the team in different projects.
After her vocational training in Hotel Management, Sabrina Greif worked, among other things, as an Executive Assistant at one of the international hotel chains, where she was responsible for contracting the East European market and held an interface role between European tour operators and hotels worldwide. After this, she worked as a Management Assistant at an international advertising company in the areas of organisation, research and creating Powerpoint presentations.
Klaus Fidlschuster
Managing Partner
Hotel development, planning advisory, project management
Klaus Fidlschuster, Managing Director and Owner of the HOTOUR GmbH, is responsible for all hotel-related topics during project development and realisation, specialising on planning advice. Furthermore, he has been running his own hotel management company with a 150-room hotel in Trier.
After completing hotel studies he worked for Hilton as well as in various management level positions at Steigenberger, including that as a Hotel Director in Bad Griesbach. As Project Manager of the Development Department at Steigenberger, he managed the construction and pre-opening of six large business and resort hotels in Germany and Austria. As managing Director Germany and Vice President Central and Eastern Europe, he was responsible from 1997 onwards for the launch of Park Inn and Park Plaza hotels in Central and Eastern Europe.
Klaus Fidlschuster has more than 30 years of experience in the operational management of up to ten hotels of a hotel chain and references in the development, conception, building, equipping and opening of 17 large hotels.
Ulrike Scheefer
Consultant
Management Consulting, project development, controlling
Ulrike Scheefer, consultant, is responsible for management consulting, project development and controlling. Furthermore, Ulrike Scheefer is author of technical literature for accounting and controlling in the hospitality trade.
Ulrike Scheefer studied tourism economics focussing on Destination Management and Hotel Management at the University of cooperate education in Ravensburg and has more than 20 years experience working in different areas of the hotel and tourism industry. She improved her skills, especially in cost controlling, at Mövenpick Einkaufs-und Importgesellschaft, at the Page Hotels GmbH, as well as at the consulting company Hotel Consult Dröscher + Partner in Heidelberg. After this she worked as Assistant of the Executive Board and later on as project manager with proxy at Stella AG.
Falk Laudi
Junior Consultant
As of February 2008, Falk Laudi joined HOTOUR and is supporting the team in the fields of Analyses of Market and Location and Market Research. After he graduated from High School, he completed his studies of economic geography at the University of Regensburg and at the Université Jean Moulin III in Lyon with the focus on tourism economy, marketing and statistics.
He gained additional knowledge about the hospitality industry during an internship at the Park Plaza in Trier and throughout the programme “Hospitality Real Estate” at the International University of Applied Science in Bad Honnef.
Ulrike Geißler
Marketing & PR
Marketing, Public Relations and Research
As of August 2008, Mrs. Geißler joined HOTOUR and is responsible for marketing, public relations and research. Before, she gained additional knowledge about the hospitality industry throughout the programme “Hospitality Real Estate” at the International University of Applied Science in Bad Honnef.
After having majored in travel organisation and marketing, Mrs. Geißler worked as a Sales Manager for Le Meridien Hotels where she was responsible for the region Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Furthermore, she showed her experience in marketing and public relations by working for different companies in different industries. Lastly, she was responsible for the organisation of events and the press work at the project developer FAY Development GmbH. There, she supported, among other things, the development of the hotel project “Villa Kennedy” in Frankfurt.
